Concerts
In addition to the opera performance, opera students will also enjoy symphony concerts, chamber music concerts by the SOAP faculty and student ensembles.

Master Classes
All students will participate in Master Classes by the distinguished faculty.
These classes will include stage movement and acting.

Private Lessons

During the private lessons, students will work on the main opera and selected opera repertoire. Faculty will assist students with their specific needs to improve their skills and techniques including: vocal production and technique, languages and diction, style and interpretation.

Audition Training
Preparation for an audition is a very important aspect of the Opera program. Students will take part in ‘live auditions’ to improve their skills and gain more experience. The faculty will train students to become more comfortable with the process of auditioning. Students together with the faculty will also be part of the jury and discuss the audition results of others. All private lessons, master classes, workshops and forums will help students to prepare for the audition. The experience will be far more important than the specific result. Being a member of the jury will give students the opportunity to experience “the other side” and to improve their own presentation/performance in an audition.

Forums
A forum will be held in which students can ask questions about working in an opera company, the differences between companies in America, Europe and Asia and their mode of operation plus all aspects of the professional life of an opera singer.
