Tuition: $1090 CAD*

Tuition includes all orchestral rehearsals and performances, master classes, private lessons, seminar on preparation for orchestral auditions, chamber music coaching, faculty demonstrations and lectures and all concerts. Participants are required to be in attendance for the full duration of the Symphony Orchestra Academy of the Pacific. Participants must be available for study and performances every day of the Academy.

Dorm / Meals / Local Transportation: $890 CAD*

This cost is based on students sharing a room and includes breakfast, lunch, dinner and transportation between housing and venues.Students will also receive transportation to and from the Powell River airport, bus station and/or ferry terminal.

Hotel / Meals / Local Transportation: $1290 CAD*

This cost is based on 2 students sharing a hotel room and includes breakfast, lunch, dinner and transportation between housing and venues. Students will also receive transportation to and from the Powell River airport, bus station and/or ferry terminal. Participants requesting a single room will pay an additional fee.

Participants wishing to arrange their own housing and meals may do so at their own cost.

Tuition Scholarships

There are a limited number of tuition scholarships and bursaries available. Scholarships will be awarded based on taped or live auditions as well as on the recommendation of faculty or the music director. Bursaries are awarded on financial need.
